ANZAC DAY – Thursday 25th April 2024
Please note that on Thursday 25th April 2024, ANZAC DAY Public Holiday the Club will be open for all sessions as per usual.
Various Group Leaders will share the sessions – Fabio, Brian, Brett, Stephy, John, Ansul, Reza etc.
While many (who still work) are also considering making it an extra-long weekend, all other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday sessions will also be unaffected.
Life Member / Club Statesman – Herb Ellis
The Management Committee is pleased to share a celebration of Herb’s 88th birthday with all friends, players past and present at the Club on Saturday afternoon session – 27th April 2024.
The Club will provide afternoon tea, desserts, light refreshments, and a birthday cake for sharing. Members will be invited to share their playing experiences with Herb over the many years, and then Herb will be called upon to say a few words in reply.
A true gentleman of the game, always having time for everyone and the Club over a long distinguish playing career. Herb has been a Payneham Life Member since 2003.
NOTE – If you know of any player having a significant birthday milestone, please share with a Management Committee and the Club is happy to consider arranging something at their usual session (with their consent).
Patron of Table Tennis SA – Bill Oatey OAM
At the recently held AGM for Table Tennis SA (TTSA), Mr Bill Oatey OAM was again bestowed with the honour of being declared Patron of Table Tennis SA, a carryover from also holding the honour in 2023.
Congratulations to Bill for his continued, dedicated commitment to table tennis at Payneham and in SA for over 70 years.
